My Men’s Journal Cover Story Featured on The Sunday Long Read

Tuesday, January 21st, 2020

Very cool to see my Men’s Journal cover story on Aaron Paul recommended by The Sunday Long Read, which celebrates the best of the week’s longform journalism. The piece was highlighted on Sunday January 12, 2020, as a profile readers “will find much to cheer about.”

Aaron Paul: Cheerworthy. Couldn’t agree more.

Men’s Journal Cover: Aaron Paul

Tuesday, January 21st, 2020

With a slew of hot new projects and a serious case of domestic bliss, Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul is exactly where he wants to be.

For the January 2020 cover story for Men’s Journal, I spent the morning with actor Aaron Paul, who impressed me with how warm, funny, energetic and positive he was. To prepare for the story, I took a deep dive into his new stuff and some roles of his I’d missed, and I’ve gotta say, I now wholeheartedly agree with what one of his co-stars told me: “I think we, honestly, have yet to see the full range of Aaron Paul.”

Parade Cover: Robert Downey Jr.

Tuesday, January 21st, 2020

After more than a decade as Iron Man, he’s now kung fu fighting and managing a menagerie at home — and in Dolittle.

I sat down with Robert Downey Jr. in my hood for my latest cover story for Parade magazine. He’s so much fun to talk to, we could barely keep on a single conversation thread, but we somehow managed to talk about his childhood, his family, his passions and his newest movie, Dolittle.

Getting Healthy with Katie Couric

Tuesday, October 15th, 2019

Such a pleasure sitting down with the whip-smart, deep thinking, profoundly nice Katie Couric at her beautiful home to talk all things health for this weekend’s Parade magazine. She talked about growing as an athlete, her health advocacy over the years, and her take on the results of a Parade/Cleveland Clinic survey on America’s extreme and mainstream health habits.

My favorite line of this piece? “I’ve become an entrepreneur in my 60s, which I think is cool.” Yes, it is.

Mike Rowe: What’s Right with America

Friday, October 11th, 2019

This is when I really love my job:

When I get to sit down with a smart, interesting, hilarious, good human; then do my best to try to capture their essence — which, according to Mike Rowe, former host of Dirty Jobs and author of the new book The Way I Heard It, it sounds like I may have done this time.

You can read my cover story for this weekend’s PARADE Magazine on the inimitable Mike Rowe here: Mike Rowe Knows What’s Right With America and He’s Telling Things The Way I Heard It in His New Memoir.

And Mike’s Facebook post about the story here: “I sat down a month or so ago in a bar I don’t recall…
