The True Power Couple: Superman & Lois Lane

Friday, March 25th, 2016

Such fun to work on the last cover for PARADE magazine, featuring the stars of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

For the story, I spoke with both Henry Cavill (Superman) and Amy Adams (Lois Lane) and got their take on what makes this couple such a powerhouse.

In their own words, they shared what they think has made the couple last through the decades. You can read their full stories on the Parade site.

Here’s Amy Adams on how “Lois Lane is a Superwoman.

And here is Henry Cavill on how “Superman Has an Incredible Heart.”

And let’s just say that one of our stars thinks the best thing this power couple can do for themselves is kick back with some cocktails in the Bahamas.

Alison Brie Gets Her Fashion On in ALEXA

Thursday, March 17th, 2016

This week’s latest is a feature I did for The New York Post with the gorgeous, quirky and hilarious Alison Brie. We met at a cafe by the Hollywood sign to talk about fashion, love and work. And there was a lot of work to talk about.

Alison has been in so much it’s almost hard to keep track of her: Mad Men, Community, The Five-Year Engagement, How to Be Single, Get a Job, and the one I’m most looking forward to: the new ITV British period drama from Julian Fellowes (from Downton Abbey) called Dr. Thorne, in which Alison will play an American character.

And she shared some funny memories about growing up and some insights to her engagement to James Franco’s younger brother Dave Franco.

You know what? I’ll just let the feature story tell you all you need to know about what she’s up to these days. You can read the whole fashion ALEXA special on the New York Post site: Alison Brie: The Biggest Misconception About Me is That I’m Wholesome. It was pure fun chatting with her. Hope you enjoy.

Hannah Davis Gets HEALTH-y

Thursday, March 17th, 2016

HannahTOC_Page_1This month, I took a long gorgeous drive up to Malibu to meet Hannah Davis, who was wrapping up her photoshoot at an insane rented house overlooking the ocean. I sat with Hannah—model, television host, swimsuit goddess and all-around cool chick—on the outside patio while we talked for Health magazine all things health, fitness, food, Project Runway Jr. and weddings (she’s engaged to Derek Jeter).

Here’s a taste of the story. You can read the full interview at the Health.com site, Hannah Davis: I Don’t Want to Go to Birthday Parties and Not Eat Cake.

My BRIDES Essay: Happily Ever Before

Wednesday, March 9th, 2016

By all accounts, I had a dream wedding with my husband Gus. But the planning—oh, the planning.

BRIDESCoverBright

After the six fast months we pulled our wedding off in Mexico, I finally understood the building stress that can turn some sweet women into Bridezillas. And I learned so much about seeing things “bright side up” that I wanted to share it.

So here’s my essay in Brides magazine: “Happily Ever Before.”
