My Thoughts On Our Grandparents’ Good Advice

Friday, October 11th, 2019

I was asked for my advice by a lovely writer, Stacey Feintuch, for this Reader’s Digest story, so I offered it up — on two pieces of Grandma’s relationship wisdom that I believe still holds true. I’ve always liked so it’s a pleasure to be a part of it this month.

I contributed my advice to two sections in the piece — both about relationships. My advice was based on what I’d learned writing Meeting Your Half-Orange, my first book on dating, love and optimism.

You can read the whole piece, and my full thoughts in it, in the story:  “7 Pieces of Advice to Take From Your Grandparents — and 5 to Forget” on Reader’s Digest.

Tuesday, June 30th, 2015

This is an exciting week, as I just got my hands on the latest foreign edition of one of my books. This is my third and latest book, The Happy Life Checklist. And it is now available in China.

It is printed in Simple Chinese characters, with beautiful small images to go with the copy. Here are some of the pages in the book, following the opening spread with—hello, my picture! I think this version of the book is stunning. I am so thrilled.

If you know anyone in China who could use some ideas for living a happier life, pass it on. And if you’d like to read more about what my book is all about, check out The Happy Life Checklist: 654 Simple Ways to Find Your Bliss.

Oh, and if you know what it says there on the cover and cover wrap—the brownish part that is wrapped on top of the gray cover—I’d love to find out! I’m so curious. I hope that readers in China will enjoy the book. It warms my heart to no end to know that the message I am sharing about living a good life is spreading this far.
