A Family on the Run

Monday, February 20th, 2017

Every once in a while, I interview people who are extraordinary in ways that aren’t measured by TV ratings, movie opening weekends, or social media likes. And this story is one of my latest (and favorites) to that end.

Here is the story of the Gonzales family in Los Angeles, for the February 2017 issue of Good Housekeeping: Everyone in This Family Wants to Run 100 Miles.

It’s the story of a family of four who—through tragedy and kindness—became a family of nine. And when they discovered the organization Marathon Kids, which encourages kids and families to run together, they became closer, healthier and happier as one very (very, very big) family.

The Gonzalez parents with four of the kids.

It was truly an honor to sit down with this wonderful family as they shared their story. Check it out here on the Good Housekeeping site. Everyone in This Family Wants to Run 100 Miles. It’s inspiring in more ways than one.

Lauren Graham: Gilmore Girl & Memoir Author

For the January 2017 issue of Good Housekeeping, I sat down with actress Lauren Graham to celebrate the revamp of Gilmore Girls and the launch of Lauren’s first memoir Talking As Fast as I Can. She also took me around her neighborhood, where we popped into her charming, cozy, gorgeously decorated personal office where she’s been working on her second novel and the script for the film The Royal We that she’s developing with her former Parenthood co-star Mae Whitman.

So yeah, she’s busy. You can read the full story in the new issue of Good Housekeeping on stands now, or check it out here on the GH website: Lauren Graham of “Gilmore Girls” Spills her 7 Biggest Get-Happy Lessons.

(And I mean, with my three books on happiness like Bright Side Up and The Happy Life Checklist, could there be a more “me” kind of story to write?)

Hope you enjoy. I did!
